Dr. C. Keith Melvin has faithfully practiced Internal Medicine in the community for over 30 years and is still going strong.  Dr. Melvin is a Withrow High School (Cincinnati) graduate who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Fisk University (Nashville, TN).  The Doctor of Medicine degree was conferred to him by the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

 

Dr. Melvin completed his Internship and Residency to meet Internal Medicine requirements and certification at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He entered into private practice after completing his Residency and remained independent for ten years before joining Alliance Primary Care.  Currently, Dr Melvin is part of the team of Mercy Health Physicians.

 

Dr. Melvin is very active  in many civic organizations that "give back" to the community and is devoted to mentoring aspiring medical students.  Dr. Melvin sits on numerous Boards and has facilitated the "Man-to-Man" American Cancer Society education and support group for those with prostate cancer.

 

Dr. Melvin is an active member of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  As a 13-year survivor of prostate cancer and married to Cassandra, who has had two bouts of cancer, Dr. Melvin is "...keenly aware of the health and emotional challenges posed by breast and prostate cancer.  We know first-hand the harsh realities of these blights...", he said.   Dr. Melvin believes that improved awareness and involvement are central to reducing disproportionately hIgh rates of cancer-related deaths in our communities.

 

Dr. Melvin has two sons, a daughter, and five grandchildren.

William "Bill" Mabrey, better known in the community as "DJ Bill", grew up in Northern Kentucky, but crossed the bridge to earn his diploma from Hughes High School in Cincinnati.  He attended the University of Cincinnati before deciding that he loved to party and so pursued a career path as an event planner.

 

Bill has been a noted DJ and event planner in the community for over 30 years.  He is noted for planning and promoting party boat cruises that are typically "sold out."  He also provides his services for private events such as family reunions, weddings and birthday parties.

 

Bill is a compassionate person who loves to know that people are trying to be happy and healthy.   He is a community activist with enthusiasm bent toward helping to plan and support fundraising events for local charitable organizations.

 

Bill is married to Debra (a cancer survivor) .  He is the father of three sons and has four grandchildren.
